Certification Renewal Requirements
PTCB Certifcation
PTCB CPhT Renewal Requirements
PTCB-certified pharmacy technicians generally need 20 hours of continuing education every two years, including at least one hour of pharmacy law and one hour of patient safety.
- 20 continuing education hours
- Two-year renewal cycle
- 1 hour of pharmacy law
- 1 hour of patient safety
- At least 15 technician-specific hours
PTCB permits no more than five pharmacist-specific ACPE hours, provided they cover eligible pharmacy technician subject matter.
NHA Certification
NHA ExCPT Renewal Requirements
NHA-certified pharmacy technicians generally need 20 hours of continuing education every two years, including at least one hour of pharmacy law and one hour of patient safety.
